Cappadocia

Merhaba my friends!
Again long time since i gave news, I apologize! So what happened in my life for so long time? In fact mainly parties and parties, but in between two parties once I went to Cappadocia... it was two weeks ago. The attached pictures are of this trip. Cappadoce is approximately located in the middle (-north) of Turkey, it's very famouse for those troglodyte habitations and churchs (we did see any troglodyte mosque). We left Istanbul on friday evening to arrive arround 9am, then we had to follow a guide for all our saturday, always in rush and a bit boring... (also annoying: pour la petite trentaine de franco-pleupleu de galatasaray we had to prendre un 2e guide francophone plutôt qu'anglophone, contraignant d'autres francophone à joindre leur pleupleu-groupe- heureusement j'y ai échappé!). Yes we would have like to can enjoy more quietly but still we sow those wonderfull places, c'est carément impressionant ces nains de jardin geants sortis de terre! This night was THE TURKISH NIGHT.... we had traditional dancing show and free "drink", we finished this very cool party at the hotel...
Sunday: much better than saturday, on était beaucoup plus libre et le weather was better. Back in Istanbul monday morning at 7:00, present au cours de 10h mais dans quel état...

Yes I'm still alive!

Hi my friends! sorry for not giving news from 2 weeks, I've been a bit busy and lazy! Saturday 10th I did a little party in my flat for my birthday, was very nice and crowded, 25 people between my bedroom and the kitchen. The 3 first picture are from this night, so let me introduce you Pedro, my favorite spanich...
then is coming Laurens: my favorite dutch from holland
and this one is my bedroom around 3am, it was very nice to be all sat (m'rappelle plus de laccord de seat...) on the floor in such small place.
And last week-end was Marta's birthday (the one sleeping on the picture) still in my bedroom, also very nice party with fewer people, probably just 20!;) because some erasmus have to leave the country to renew their touristic visa.
here are Christian from Austria and Fatih, our super coordinateur!

Winter is here

Hi guys,

The familly left on monday and now I'm wondering if I come back for christmas.

Hi guys, as you can see my family is here, they arrived friday night and they stay 10 days. Very nice to see them, they brought me home made marmelade, andouille miammm!!! and calva!;) So it's a good occasion for me to visit Istanbul, Saturday we went to Ste Sophie- a former orthodoxe church, it became a mosque and now it's a museum-, the Blue Mosque, the huge Mosque of Sultanhamet, and to the Grand Bazaar. Sunday we took the boat to go to Princess Island and the night we had a erasmus' parents meeting, we went to eat fish by the Golden Horn (river of Istanbul qui se jette dans le Bosphore) with Choel's parents (french), Perdo's father (spanish) and Maja's family (slovenjan), they followed us to start the erasmus night and left us around midnight, it was Fatih's birthday (he is the turkish "animator" of erasmus group), again very good night!!!;)
Monday was Bayram, Turkey celebrated independency, I couldn't hang out with the family because this week I have 2 exams and 2 more next week... :(
C u my friends

Un long week-end

Sorry Julien to plagiarize on you... but it was really a long week-end! We strated on friday night at 8pm with Pedro's sangria party, we went to buy around one litre of wine for each, fruits and some fan..ta and spri..te pour ne pas les citer (I know it don't look very authentic but we had to prepare it in the street so...) and later we went a erasmus party and next an other a bar, and finally we took a tea at 7am. Then I woke up at 1pm, I desperatelly tried to work, but no way to write more than 2 sentences in 5 hours. So let's start again with a punk-metal concert in which was singing a friend of mine, j'me suis tenté le pogo (juste 1/4 d'heure) ça secouait pas mal! :)) Next it was 80's party we stayed 1 hour to we finish in Ritim, le repère des erasmus, 2.5euro for 70cl of beer!!! So Sunday I hardly woke up at 10am, fortunatly I was able enough to do my work for my fuc..g marketing group project and give it back to my team exactly at 6pm. We finally finish the week-end smoking nargile and playing backgammon. By the way I have to congratulate Marta, my so cool flatmate, for her incredible resistance!!
Sorry I've no picture....
Güle güle

1st week-end under the rain

Merhaba les amis,
a short message for a quiet week-end... it was holidays from thursday afternoon for Bayram: end of Ramazan, it's as important as our christmas, so lot of turkish left Istanbul to reach their native city. I just went out friday to Edirne, 2.30 hour from Istanbul, close to Bulgarian and Greek boarders, here it's my first time in a mosque, le petit groupe en train de faire la sieste en bas à droite c'est des erasmus, faut dire que la moquette était très confortable. L'afternoon on a visited un hopital psychiatric du 14th, that served until the beginning of the last century. Yesterday and today I didn't do anything, just relax at home coz it rainned a lot and it was cold and because la France à perdu :(((
see you my friends

princess island trip

Saturday we went to Princess Island, 5 islands in Marmara sea, at 1.30 hour from Istanbul. I enjoyed the quietness of the place, no motor, juste horse-car taksi and cycles, and I also could finally take a sea bath, which I missed a lot from Normandie!
After that I came back to the city to take an other boat... party on the bosphorus and next we finished the night in Taksim until 4.30am, I didn't have my camera there but if I catch some photos I'll show you coz it was great!
And yesterday it was Chris birthday ( le hollandais un peu plus bas), bonne petite soirée pour finir le week-end... c u guys

Ankara trip

As I told you before, I went to Ankara yesterday. Départ à 7h30, arrivée à Ankara vers 12h.
So you can see first the Mausoleum of Ataturk and the museum, he was the guy who reformed Turkey, the father of turkey (english translation of ataturk->le père de la turquie ;)) is the guy who pushed turkey toward (vers) modernity (he changed laws, politic system, women situation, alphabet...), he was also a warrior, smoker and alcoholic. This huge (énorme) new place is all dedicated to him...
After (2nd picture) we went to the historical center of Ankara, nothing to compare with Istanbul, nothing of europe but coca cola always present, guys advice us to don't go away from the group coz the place is not so safe.
Que du bonheur, a sweet moment on top of this huge and too quiet city.

hard work!

First "full" (one course didn't begun yet) week of classes! And now I think I talked too early when I said that it would be a cool program. I had my first test of microeconomics wednesday, I was completely lost, for next week I have a montain of homework and of course all this is in english -> double work for babass! I feel more like high-school student than a university student, it's horrible!!! But now it's week end so let's think to better things :)... yesterday it was turkish night with other ITU erasmus students, free alcohol, very nice time but sorry no picture. And tomorrow let's go to Ankara with erasmus students of the 4 university of Istanbul to see Goran Bregovic in concert, which sounds very good!!
And finally this picture: we went for a little trip in Istanbul (european and asian) last sunday with few friends. I took this photo from the south part of the european side so there you see the 'tour de Léandre' and behind asia. Maybe some of you can recognize this tower, I heard that scenes of James Bond had been turned there...

let's speak english

Hi everybody,
By the way guys... now sometime, if your are okay, I'll try to write you in english because you and I have to be international and I have some new non-french guest on this daily (et pis ça vous fera pas de mal). Anyway if it bore you, just let me know!
So actually I'm alone in my flat coz my flatmate is returned in Italy for 2 weeks for some exams, but I'll receive other ITU students who don't have apartment yet. Yesterday we had a party planned by Laurens-a francophile from Netherland studying archetecture- and I met a lot of french student from galatasaray university who just arrived in Istanbul, we could heard Dany Brian, Manu Chao and Zebda in the bar, which was very funny.... very nice time but honestly I'm not here to feel that much in France... Hopefully we won't have this kind of night too often.
See you guys
